8th September Opening Night
A warm welcome to new members, and a chance for existing members to catch up after the summer break. There will be an introduction to the new programme,
selection of themes for the Lucky Dip evening, and of course a light buffet.
15th September Bringing the past to life ( part 2 )
Once again we welcome Paolo Scremin, following on from last season's talk. He will tell us more about his trips to the ancient tombs of Egypt.
22nd September How did we do?
The results of last season's external competitions will be given, and the discussion led by David Simpson. Images used will be shown and we hope to get some honest opinions. He will give guidance on preparing and sizing images for competitions, including prints, as there are some changes for the coming season.
29th September The Photographer's Eye
We welcome judge Martin Pickles, visiting for the first time as a speaker, who will give tips on understanding your camera, exposure, post processing, and managing photographic projects.
6th October Practical evening
Members will form into small groups, each with a laptop, which will have Photoshop /
Lightroom / Elements installed, so that ideas and favourite techniques can be exchanged to improve post-processing. We also hope to have a few " table top " setups, so bring your camera.

Following last year's hugely successful visit covering Shackletons's journey, Eddy and Pam Lane give us their presentation taking us to the Arctic Circle.

27th October An evening with Terry Donnelly FRPS, supported by Sony UK
Terry, who is a highly qualified professional photographer, will show us some of his latest work, and his colleague Mark Baber will have the latest Sony cameras on display and for trial. www.terrydonelly.co.uk/
3rd November Forgotten Heritage
Matt Emmett, award winning photographer, visits the club for the first time. He will show us how he is exploring a little-known world by rediscovering heritage locations and ruined architecture, and recording them for posterity.

17th November SCPF League competition
Reading Camera Club hosts this round of the league PDI competition within our division of the Federation. Let's hope we do well. Note change of judge - now Alan Colgrave LRPS
24th November Summer project and practical evening results
At the end of last season, members were given details of the summer project,
" The colour blue ", images to be taken during the summer break. Tonight we see the results, with a maximum of 5 images per member.

1st December Movement in photography
The eminent photographer Derek Gale, will visit to present his talk on how to capture and effectively use all forms of movement in photography, showing us some stunning images to illustrate this.

5th January Member's critique evening and results of lucky dip.
At the start of the season, everyone chose a subject from the " lucky dip " bag, so tonight we see the results ( maximum 3 images per member ). Also bring along 2 prints or PDI's from this or last season's entries, to discuss the comments and marks they received, your reactions, and why you took them. Please do not bring pictures that have not been in a competition.

19th January A Magic Lantern Show with Alan Brindle
Something really different tonight, a fun evening! Alan shows us what photography used to be like with his unusual show, full of Victorian humour.

26th January Member's evening - the Janet and David Show! Tonight, two of our talented members will each present half an evening. Janet Marshall will recall her fascinating trip to Myanmar ( previously known as Burma ), and David Simpson will tell us " What's in my bag " - intriguing!
2nd February PDI competition No. 3 - Open subject Judge - Jeff Lawrence
9th February Shoot a theme competition.
Choose a subject and produce a storyboard with up to 7 prints mounted on one board, illustrating a theme or telling a story. Please note - maximum print size 18cmx13cm ( 7"x5" ). Each member may enter up to 2 boards. Judging by members.
16th February Southern Federation Annual Exhibition
This presentation will show all the entries from the recent exhibition at Salisbury. This is a chance to see what other workers are doing, and perhaps pick up some ideas. If possible, after the initial showing, we hope to pick out some of the images and hold them on the screen for discussion.

This year's subject - " The World of Plants and Trees ". Up to 3 mounted prints. Images used in quarterly competitions may be used ONLY ONCE for this competition. Bring your entries on the night.
13th April From Pharaohs to Photoshop with Rolf Richardson
Rolf, a retired airline officer and keen photographer, having travelled the world as a pilot, turned his attention to photography, becoming a " one man photo factory ", roaming the world in search of saleable images. These days he pursues a more leisurely life giving lectures on cruise ships. Tonight with his help we visit Egypt, followed by advice on selling images.

Our Chairman, Ramesh Naik, and member David Sherwood will show the club some of the fascinating things they have found on recent trips to the Far East and India.
4th May Photograph of the year
Print and PDI competition. Up to 4 images per member, selected ONLY from this season's quarterly competition entries, maximum 2 entries per category. See printed programme for details.
11th May Discussion evening and Audiovisual presentations - member's sequences.
This evening will start with a discussion of issues prior to the AGM. Members' views regarding the programme, operation of the club etc. will be very welcome - please make every effort to attend. The rest of the evening will be your chance to show other members your latest A/V productions.
18th May Annual General Meeting
Please come along to this very important evening, there will be matters to be voted on and a new committee to select. If you have items for the agenda, please let the committee know in advance of the evening, or at the beginning of the evening.
25th May Trophy presentation and closing social evening. We conclude the season with presentation of awards for this season's winners. Please bring your prints if you have come first, second or third, PDIs available on the club laptop. This will be followed by refreshments and social evening.
