hid brilliant landscape and seascape photography. Robert took us round parts of the coastline in England and Wales, showing us how to make the best use of lighting conditions and coastal scenery. With marvelous examples from classic areas such as Durdle Door, the Seven Sisters and along the Jurassic Coast, and including less well known sites such as the strange Blackchurch Rock in North Devon and Nash Point in South Wales, his skilful use of lighting and composition produced images which inspired our members. An enthusiastic user of ND ( neutral density ) filters, he explained their usage and encouraged members to give them a try! He also made it clear that to obtain many images in his talk a high level of commitment was necessary - not least having the will to get up at silly o'clock in the morning and drive long distances to capture images, and sometimes waiting for long periods in the hope that the lighting is
" just right ".It also helps to have an understanding wife!
