Picture - judge Jeff Lawrence CPAGB
The second of this season's quarterly print competitions came with the added challenge of a subject which could ( and was ) be interpreted in many ways. As ever members rose to the challenge, picturing almost everything and anything that could be described as moving - river scenes, motocross bikes, railway stations with ghostly trains, the list was full of variations. Jeff Lawrence, our judge for the evening, thoroughly enjoyed himself, although he did point out on a few occasions that the subject in some of the pictures was clearly not moving! Holding several images back for further marking, he awarded five prints the maximum mark of 20, with five others achieving 19. With a total entry of 63 prints from 21 members, the entry level for the contest was again high - which should make the rest of the season's competitions interesting!
