DPAGB, APAGB ). He is well known for his work with slide presentations, many of which have been shown to the club in previous years, but this evening he gave us a background to his " conversion " to digital. The images presented were largely of his many visits to India.
The evening started with examples of images which were originally slides, scanned to digital - Leo's first step on the ladder, illustrating village and family life in India. He took his first " real " steps on his digital journey in 2004, when he acquired a Nikon D70. This accompanied him on many journeys pursuing
he and his wife's love of birdwatching, visiting Cuba, France and Slimbridge among many others.
But the bulk of the evening was taken up with images from his many visits to India. Having taken early retirement, he was encouraged by his wife to fulfill a long - held ambition - to see tigers in the wild. He achieved his ambition, and showed us the result - together with many other images illustrating the life and background to that mighty subcontinent, all delivered Leo's traditional humour and charm. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.
