This week was another in-house evening for Reading Camera Club. It began with a showing of all the projected images that formed the Southern Counties Photographic Federation exhibition, recently shown at Salisbury Library. Work from clubs based as far apart as Wokingham and the Isles of Wight was featured, and was of an extremely high standard, giving our own members an insight into what happens at other clubs, and possibly some new ideas to try. A large portion of the images shown had clearly been enhanced by post-processing with various software packages, with some very interesting results. The overall winning image showed a raptor in flight, and clearly the judge had a preference for this subject as other placed images were also wildlife. Sadly RCC were not represented this year due to time constraints at submission deadlines.
The second half of the evening, by way of a special treat, featured an audio visual sequence of a very colourful Indian wedding, filmed in Texas (!) by our chairman, Ramesh Naik. This was followed by our annual light-hearted photographic quiz, consisting of 16 multi-choice questions and four mystery pictures to identify. The lucky winners were Bill Weaver and Jonathan Farmer, who both received a small prize!
