Wildlife through a lens “. In little more than two years he has established himself as a wildlife photographer, demonstrated by the stunning images displayed. In the first half of the evening, he showed us some of his work taken around Britain – ranging from deer in the rutting season, kingfisher,
and the famously difficult to photograph water vole, among many others.
In part two, however, we travelled much further afield, to Borneo, where
Tom showed us urangutan in the wild, to the Falklands to photograph king and gentoo penguins, and to Sri Lanka in search of the mighty blue whale ( a trip which was exceptionally expensive as he dropped his camera in the sea – but saved the memory card ! ). Many members present on the evening have already asked the committee to rebook him for next season. We’ll see what we can do……
