In the second half he demonstrated one of his current interests. He had seen a device called a " pixelstick " advertised, which consists of colour-changing LEDs mounted on a bar, and had been impressed by the images produced with it. He wasn't, however, impressed by the £250+ price, so decided to make his own, purchasing an inexpensive length of LED strip from Amazon and attaching it to a length of plumbing pipe with insulating tape! He showed us many impressive images taken with this basic kit, both in his garden and " out and about ", the camera, in this instance, being firmly mounted on a tripod!
A most enjoyable and interesting evening which resulted in us running over our allotted time - thank you Derek.
