In the second part of Row's presentation, he presented us with a quiz based on deformed images, challenging members to " guess what this is " before the corrected item was displayed. Finally he led us through the woods on a " fungi trail ", showing that you don't have to travel too far to find interesting nature subjects ( particularly if you are quick enough to catch a local elf ! )
Ron's section again featured his love of what is usually referred to as " table top " photography. Using his large collection of " toys ", he presented, in his first section, the saga of the Wicked Witch of Whitley, who passed a terrible curse on the local fairies. The fairies, however, were able to gain help from the other creatures in the Great Forest of Whitley, who between them cast the Witch into a great fire and reversed the curse, and everyone, apart from the witch, lived happily ever after.
Part two took us to an often-visited destination 9 not shown on any map ) - Whitley Wood Airport!
Here we met Ron's partner in crime ( and our club mascot ) Bonzo, courtesy of the Bonzo Travel Co. Flying directly from Whitley Wood Lane to Monument Valley, Arizona, we visited a ranch where all the staff seemed strangely familiar...
And lastly... how can I describe it? Ron's own distinctive take on Britain's Got Talent! All the familiar judges were there but not quite all there, somehow ) to judge the remarkable acts - including an unbelievable sword-swallowing routine routine and possibly the most erotic dancer on the planet.
An evening that the club ( and certainly the lady members ) will not forget in a hurry!
