Our first guest speaker of the 2022-23 season was Colin Winstanley, self-labelled “The Portrait Guy”. With a studio in Exeter and shooting on location in Devon, he provides portrait and commercial photography services (https://www.colinwinstanley.com/) and is a popular camera club speaker.
During the first half of his 2-hour talk, Colin provided excellent advice about the technique and practice of taking posed and candid portraits, illustrated by images from his vast portfolio. Over the 2nd hour, he gave a live demonstration of image processing with Lightroom and Photoshop, for clean and attractive portraits.
