Reading Camera Club held its final open print competition of the season on Friday evening. It was judged by Jason Hyde CPAGB who started the evening by summarising his judging style – he likes narrative in images – and then gave us some very useful feedback on all our pictures, as well as sharing some of the stories that he saw in the images.
Two pictures (both in monochrome coincidentally) stood out for him from the high standard on display and earned a 20/20 – a cleverly constructed street scene evoking a moment of calm in a busy high street from Peter Ruczynski and Bo Hansen’s action shot of a drummer showing us the energy and atmosphere of a Prog Rock concert.
