And the winner is …

On Friday 15th September, Reading Camera Club held its “How Did We Do” Members Evening where we presented trophies to the competition winners during the 2022-2023 season, and had another chance to see the best images from last season.

We run four print and four projected image competitions in the year, as well as the annual Brian Hodgson competition, named for a past Chairman of the club. Competitions, which are with an outside judge who will be an experienced photographer, are a great way to appreciate the work of other members of the club and a good opportunity to get useful feedback on your own images.

We were delighted to be able to welcome Anne Eckersley LRPS DPAGB BPE3*, President of the Southern Counties Photographic Federation, who presented the trophies, as well as the award of admission to the SCPF Roll of Honour to one of our long-serving members for her contribution to the club over many years.

After the break for tea or coffee, our Webmaster, Bo Hansen, projected the highest-scoring entries in competitions during the 2022-2023 season, giving us another chance to see some fantastic images and appreciate the range of approach and variety of subject matter to be found at Reading Camera Club.

All that, and chocolate biscuits – for the second week running!
